Recently, the National Corn Growers Association announced the state and national winners of the 2016 yield contest.  While the highest volume of corn acres are in the upper Midwest, that doesn’t mean they have the highest yield per acre.  This year, as in past years, the majority of high yielding acres came from the east and southeast.
