Winter wheat acres about what was anticipated

Despite poor commodity prices, some farmers went ahead and took the leap and planted winter wheat this year.  Dan Weathington, Executive Director of North Carolina Small Grain Growers Association says about the number of acres he was expecting went in:“I think we’re, statewide, somewhere around 450,000 acres.  It was a very hard decision to plant wheat, but at the same time it was a very hard decision to plant anything with prices being..."
