New Year’s resolutions got you thinking about stepping on the bathroom scale? While our inspectors might not be checking that scale for accuracy, they do check scales that are used for commercial sale. This includes scales at the grocery store, coffee shops, recycling facilities and more.

Our inspectors want to ensure scales are accurate, level, free of debris, the right size for the product being weighed and that consumers can read the display easily. A scale that displays an incorrect amount can cost the consumer money.

Check out the video  for more information on scale inspections.
