Talks between Reynolds American Inc. and British American Tobacco Plc over BAT’s offer for Reynolds have not reached the deal-breaker stage, a leading tobacco analyst said Monday. Wells Fargo Securities analyst Bonnie Herzog issued an update on the potential $47 billion deal following British media reports last week that negotiations had hit a snag over next-generation technology.
