WHAT: Any way you say it, pecans will be the feature attraction at the State Farmers Market’s annual Pecan Day. The market, along with the N.C. Pecan Growers Association will provide free pecan samples, recipes and educational materials. Admission and parking is free.
In addition to pecans, the Farmers Market has a large variety of seasonal fruits and vegetables, including pumpkins, mums, pansies, apples, peanuts, sweet potatoes, greens, tomatoes, firewood and honey, as well as North Carolina Christmas trees, wreaths and roping.
WHEN: Friday, Nov. 20, 11 a.m. — 1 p.m.
WHERE: Farmers Building, State Farmers Market, 1201 Agriculture St., Interstate 40, exit 297, Lake Wheeler Road
