CHICKEN EGGS South Atlantic Region: Broiler-Type eggs in incubators on January 1, 2015 totaled 250,734,000. The total was up 3% from the January 1, 2014 total of 242,365,000 eggs. The total number of Egg-Type eggs in incubators on January 1, 2015 increased 2% from 4,430,000 eggs in 2014 to 4,527,000.


GOATS
Meat and all other goat inventory on North Carolina farms January 1, 2015, totaled 43,000 head, down 4% from 45,000 head on January 1, 2014.  Milk goats in North Carolina totaled 8,000 head on January 1, 2015. This total is up 13% from the January 1, 2014 inventory of 7,100 head.
