Yesterday, we heard from NC State Ag Economist, Dr. Nick Piggott on the quandary producers are in this year, choosing a profitable crop in a lower market year.  This season’s winter wheat crop is in poor shape, and acre abandonment is expected to be high, leaving the door open for more choices regarding full-season crops.  But, says Piggott the break-even yield on corn looks to be 120 bu/a:
