Yesterday, we heard from NC State Ag Economist, Dr. Nick Piggott on the quandary producers are in this year, choosing a profitable crop in a lower market year. This season’s winter wheat crop is in poor shape, and acre abandonment is expected to be high, leaving the door open for more choices regarding full-season crops.
