Wine is a romantic beverage. It’s only natural we extend our image to include ruddy faced farmers singing in the vineyards, reminding us of “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.” Is that bottle of wine you just bought really hand crafted? Maybe.
We also consider wine a luxury good. It’s a mistake.
