Northeast Georgia RESA offers a 4-hour substitute teacher certification training in the following counties: Barrow, Clarke, Commerce, Elbert, Greene, Jackson, Jefferson, and Oconee. Listed below are the scheduled dates. If you are interested in this training, please contact the personnel office in the appropriate county for times and location of classes. 

Barrow County Training: All training sessions will be held at the Barrow County PDC Board Room 8:30 - 12:30 PM. To register select one of the dates below and contact Tammy Murphy at 770-867-4527 or email tmurphy@barrow.k12.ga.us 

Clarke County Training: All CCSD training sessions will be held at the Board of Education on Fridays from 8:30 am – 12:30 pm. To attend, all applicants must register online at the Clarke County website at http://www.clarke.k12.ga.us, Employment tab, Jobs at CCSD, left hand side click on Substitute Teaching to register, at least one week before the scheduled training date. Commerce City: All trainings will be held at the Commerce High School Media Center from 8:30 - 12:30 PM.

Elbert County Training: All training will be held at the Elbert County BOE Staff Development Office from 9:00 - 1:00 PM. To register contact Judy Hudson at 706-213-4063 or email jhudson@elbert.k12.ga.us. 

Greene County Training: All training sessions will be held from 9:00 - 1:00 PM at the CBJ Technology Training Center (Board Office), Greensboro, GA.

Jackson County Training: All workshops will be scheduled at 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Gordon Street Center, Room B-16, Jefferson, GA.

Jefferson City Training: All workshops will be held at Jefferson Academy scheduled at 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM.

Oconee County Training:  All training sessions are held at the Oconee County Civic Center from 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM. To attend, please refer to Substitute Teacher information on website at www.oconee.k12.ga.us.
