The
National Council of Teachers of English is holding its Annual Convention in
Atlanta, GA on November 17-20, 2016. Thanks to a partnership between
NCTE and the GaDOE, for the month of September
ONLY, teachers who reside in Georgia can
get a greatly discounted rate to attend the convention. You must complete and
submit the attached form by September 30, 2016 to qualify for this
discount. With this form you can get a 4-day registration for just $150
(normally $335) and a one-day registration for $100 (normally $160). This
form is only available through GaDOE channels. You will not find it featured on
the NCTE website.
The Annual Convention offers more than 600 sessions on literacy topics spanning all content areas and grades Prek – College. There is literally something for everyone, every hour of the day. NCTE also boasts a showroom floor with hundreds of literacy-oriented vendors from publishers to education companies who bring loads of freebies to share. This year’s featured
speakers include National
Book Award winner Ta-Nehisi Coates and nationally renowned education activist
