There is someone in your District (it could be you) who submits your district’s Equity Plan to Title II-A. If that person is not you, please invite him/her to attend this session. We will spend the morning doing an Equity Data Dive for the Middle Georgia Area. The ESSA Plan for Georgia includes the information below on Page 58 of the Plan: Ongoing Equity Technical Assistance In partnership with Institutions of Higher
Education (IHE), regional P-20 collaboratives, and other stakeholders, Georgia
Department of Education staff will work with state-identified LEAs and schools
in need of support to address equity gaps. The support will include assistance
in data analysis, examination of current LEA systems at the school and LEA
level, and the selection of evidence-based interventions/ practices/strategies
to address any existing inequities. The Georgia Department of Education
will continue to elevate LEA best practices as well as support and strengthen
statewide and regional efforts by engaging partners to address teacher equity
