Enhancing the Science Classroom with the Use of Technology
Participants will learn how to integrate technology in the Science classroom. All participants will gain skills needed to use tools such as Google Suite, Google Science Journal, USA Test Prep, HyperDocs, Venngage, and Trello……just to name a few. Please bring an electronic device.

Incorporating STEAM Activities in the Science Classroom

Primary/Elementary Science Literature Connections
With
the primary focus on ELA in the younger grades, participants will learn how to
integrate literature into any Science unit. The session will assist teachers
with selecting well reviewed and age - appropriate books for Science topics
addressed by the GSE Science Standards.

Teaching Science through the Three Dimensions of Learning and Lesson Plan Development
The GSE Science Standards are designed with the intentional integration
of three dimensions of learning: Disciplinary Core Ideas (DCI), Science and
Engineering practices (SEPs), and Crosscutting Concepts (CCCs). All
participants will receive different strategies and resources that will embed
these three dimensions of learning into their 5 E lesson planning approaches.
Participants will send time writing lesson plans for the upcoming school year.
