January is Glaucoma Awareness Month!
by Anna Balderson on 1/6/2012

Attention SCOPA Members - January is National Glaucoma Awareness Month!

Campaign Description:

Studies show that over the next ten years the number of Americans diagnosed with glaucoma will increase by more than one million, yet Americans are still not doing as much as they should to help protect their vision. Because of this, the SCOPA and the AOA will help raise awareness surrounding the potentially blinding condition during January’s National Glaucoma Awareness Month. The campaign materials and messages will encourage people to live a healthier life by monitoring their diet, cutting down on bad habits like smoking, and most importantly sticking to an ongoing health care schedule, which includes comprehensive eye exams.

Please see below for campaign tactics. These materials include a press release, e-mail pitch, key messages and social media posts.
