Bio

Jason Anavitarte is a member of the Paulding County School Board after winning countywide during the 2018 general election with 67% of the vote. The Paulding County School District is the 12th largest in the state with 31,000 students.

Most recently, Jason served as Senior Adviser of Lt. Governor Geoff Duncan's campaign and served on the state finance committee for Governor Brian Kemp during the 2018 election. Recently in 2018, Jason was named one of the 50 Most Influential Latinos in Georgia. Jason in 2016 was a RNC Statewide Delegate to the convention that elected President Donald Trump in addition to being a past delegate to multiple county, district, and state conventions. In 2011, he was named by Georgia Trend Magazine as one of the top 40 Under 40 Leaders in Georgia.

Jason serves as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Chattahoochee Technical College, the largest technical college in Georgia. Jason was appointed to the Innovation Fund Foundation, supporting the work of the Governor's Office of Student Achievement in supporting eligible organizations as they develop, pilot, implement, and scale innovative education programs. In 2018, Jason was selected to join the American Enterprise Institute [AEI] Leadership Network. In 2016, Jason was appointed by Judge Dean Bucci to serve on the Executive Committee of the Paulding Judicial Circuit Drug Court Program. In addition, he serves on the Board of Directors of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce and Georgia Hispanic Chamber.

Jason is a past Board Member of Fellowship for Christian Athletes [FCA], Paulding Public Safety Appreciation, Inc., Mothers Against Drunk Driving [MADD], and Child Advocacy Centers of Georgia.

He received a B.A. degree from Georgia State University and M.S. degree in Public Policy from the Georgia Tech. Jason and his family attend Burnt Hickory Baptist Church. Jason and wife, Jennifer, and daughters Taylor, Madison, and Kennedy reside in Dallas, Georgia in north Paulding County.
