Bio

Renée Kosel is serving her fifth term as State Representative of the 81st Legislative District. She was first elected to her legislative office on November 5, 1996 and took office in January, 1997. Renée's district includes all or parts of Frankfort , Homer Glen, Homer Township , Joliet , Mokena, New Lenox, Orland Park and Tinley Park .

Leadership in Action

* Sponsored the nation's toughest ethics law for public officials and government employees

* Fought the Blagojevich Plan to raid our pension system of more than $1 billion

* Led the effort to repeal onerous business fees and taxes

* Delivered critical funds for Route 30 improvements and state roads throughout our area and also was a leader in making the I-355 extension a reality

* Secured millions in additional funds for our local schools and limited adminstrators end of career raises

* Protected seniors' prescription drug relief options and benefits
