Bio

Life long resident of Livingston Parish. Graduate of Doyle High School in Livingston in 1972. Graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Owner and President of Erdey Insurance, Inc., a family owned insurance agency since 1956. Married to Donna Carlisle Erdey and we have four children; Lindsey McCaskill and husband Brian, Ashlyn McMorris and husband Cody, Leah Smith and husband Josh and Trey Felder. We have six grandchildren; Jacksen and Lawsen McCaskill, Kayden and Blakelyn McMorris and Bryce and Kenzie Smith. Mayor of the Town of Livingston, 1993-1997. State Representative of District 71, 2000-2008. State Senator of District 13 (Representing Livingston and East Baton Rouge Parishes), 2008- Present. Senate Standing Committees Presently Serving- Transportation, Highway and Public Works Committee, (Vice-Chairman), Health and Welfare Committee, Revenue and Fiscal Affairs Committee.
