BioLee was born in Monticello, Iowa. He attended Iowa State University for two years. He returned to Monticello to join his family farm. Lee raised two children, Amy and Ben, with his wife Jacky on their farm. Amy is a first year law student at the University of Iowa and Ben is a sophomore at Iowa State University majoring in Animal Science. Jacky is a business owner in Monticello. Lee is third generation to work on his family farm operation, growing corn and soybeans along with raising hogs and cattle. He is currently a member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church of Monticello, the Iowa Farm Bureau, the Cedar Valley and Iowa Farm Business Associations, the Jones County and Iowa Pork Producers, and the Jones County and Iowa Cattlemen’s Associations.In the past, Lee was a member of the Monticello School Board for nine years, serving as president for five years. He also served on the Cedar Valley Farm Business Board and Iowa Farm Business Association Board for six and eight years, respectively, and was president of both boards for two years.
