BioState Representative Lynn Wachtmann is currently serving his fourth term in the Ohio House of Representatives. He previously served as a state representative from 1985 to 1998 and as a state senator from 1999 to 2006. He represents the 81st House District, which encompasses Henry, Putnam and Williams counties, as well as part of Fulton County.Representative Wachtmann is president of Maumee Valley Bottling, Inc. and a partner in Culligan Water Conditioning. His experience has made him a committed advocate for business development and job creation in the district. Representative Wachtmann is active in numerous community organizations, including the National Rifle Association, Ohio Right to Life Society, International Bottled Water Association Board of Directors, Putnam County YMCA Board of Directors, Ohio Farm Bureau, American Red Cross and the National Association of Sportsmen Legislators. He has been honored with the Watchdog of the Treasury Award for each term he has served in the Legislature. In addition he has received many other honors such as the Outstanding Freshman Legislator of the Year Award, Ohio Right to Life Defender of Life Award, Thomas Van Meter Outstanding Conservative Leadership Award and the American Legislative Exchange Council Legislator of the Year Award. Representative Wachtmann lives in Napoleon with his wife, Trudy. They have two grown children and one granddaughter.
