BioLinda Garcia is a Democratic member of the Texas House of Representatives, representing District 107 since January 14, 2025. She succeeded Victoria Neave Criado, who endorsed Garcia as her replacement when Neave Criado ran for the Texas State Senate.
Born on April 8, 1980, Garcia grew up between Orange County, California, and Dallas, Texas. She faced early challenges, becoming a mother at 14. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and earned a bachelor's degree in marketing and international business from Northwood University.
Garcia spent 17 years in the TV and film industry, contributing to programming for the U.S. Hispanic market. While working at Netflix, she developed an interest in investing, leading her to teach online courses on financial literacy and investing. This endeavor culminated in her authoring the book "Wealth Warrior- 8 Steps for Communities of Color to Conquer the Stock Market".
Encouraged by Victoria Neave Criado, Garcia ran unopposed and was elected to the Texas House in 2024. She serves on the Delivery of Government Efficiency and Pensions, Investments & Financial Services committees.
Garcia resides in Mesquite, Texas, with her spouse, Alfonso Ayala.
