Bio

Michael Owen, a resident of Apollo Beach, is an attorney, small business owner, and former commissioner of both Hillsborough County and Port Tampa Bay. He was elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 2024.

Born on December 23, 1975, in Houston, Texas, Owen earned a Bachelor of Arts from Saint Leo University (1997-1999) and a Juris Doctor from Thomas M. Cooley Law School (2007-2009).

A Christian, he is affiliated with Arise Church, local Chambers of Commerce, and the Federalist Society. His recreational interests include motorcycles and sports.
