Bio

Devan Seabaugh was elected to serve the 34th district in the Georgia State House in 2021 where he will serve on the Transportation, Code Revisions, and Creative Art and Entertainment Committees.

A political outsider, Devan started a career in healthcare as a Paramedic working for 15 years as street medic including five years for Grady EMS. Devan was there for patients in their toughest hour and many lived to see another day because he responded when they needed him most.

As a business executive with MetroAtlanta Ambulance, he has help grow a startup company from 10 employees to more than 800 professionals using common sense and conservative principles.

With the COVID 19 recovery underway, he is uniquely prepared to eliminate burdensome regulations that strangle small business and will fight to never see the economy shut down again.

Georgia is under siege by the far left. Without leaders like Seabaugh to fight against the left agenda for government dependence, radicals like Stacey Abrams will continue to destroy our values, defund our police, and dismantle the policies that made Georgia the #1 state for business.

His background in healthcare and public safety gives him a unique perspective on how to keep our communities safe. He will never allow "Defunding of the Police" and will always defend our second amendment rights. He will lead the way on ensuring the brave men and women who maintain public health, safety and law and order have the resources they need to protect and serve.

Seabaugh supports maintaining full funding of Georgia's public schools and protecting the HOPE Scholarship and will fight for incentives and other polices that support our economic engines such as Cobb International Airport, Lockheed Martin, WellStar Kennestone Regional Hospital and the many small businesses in the district.

As a state representative, Seabaugh will continue to advocate for better health care and support for the non-profit safety nets serving our most vulnerable citizens.

Today, Seabaugh is active with the Kiwanis Club, Leadership Cobb Alumni Association, the Cobb Opioid Addiction Task Force, the Kennestone Regional Hospital Board, the Cobb Chamber, the Cobb Safety Village Foundation, Rotary Club, the Kennesaw Business Association, SafeKids, North Georgia State Fair Association and the National Rifle Association.

Seabaugh has been recognized for his service and leadership to the community receiving awards including Marietta Citizen of the Year Award, the Kiwanis International George F. Hixson Award and the Rotary International Paul Harris Society. Seabaugh conceived and led the 'Field of Flags' project at Kennesaw National Battlefield Park to commemorate and honor the victims of the attack on our country on September 11, 2001, which has become a national tribute to the men and women that where tragically lost.

Seabaugh is a recognized leader with clear vision and a cooperative spirit. He's a familiar face in the 34th District, and a proud family man with five children whom all attended Kennesaw Mountain High School. He and his wife Beth have been married 30 years and are members of First United Methodist Church in Marietta.
