BioRepresentative Napoleon Bracy, Jr. was elected to the Alabama House of Representatives on November 2, 2010, and elected as Chairman of the Alabama Legislative Black Caucus in 2013.
He is a proud product of the Mobile County Public School System and a 2000 graduate of Dillard University of New Orleans.
Representative Bracy is the Workforce Outreach Coordinator for Austal USA, a defense contractor for the US Department of Defense. His political career began in 2004 with the Prichard City Council representing District 3 at the young age of 26. Bracy was reelected to the Prichard City Council in 2008 at the age of 30 and was elected Council President.
Bracy is also a member Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Prince Hall Masonry and 100 Black Men of Greater Mobile. A few of his awards include Humanitarian of the Year Award, Drug Free Mobile Leadership Award, Hometown Hero Award, Mobile Bays Top Forty under 40 and 2014 Alabama Democratic Legislator of the Year.
Bracy is married to Melody and they have three daughters, Kena, Brooklynn and Camille. The Bracy's are members of Bethesda Christian Center.
