BioRep. Ann V. Clemmer is serving her third term in the Arkansas House of Representatives. She represents District 29, which includes part of Saline County. For the 89th General Assembly, Rep. Clemmer serves on the Education Committee, State Agencies and Governmental Affairs, and the Arkansas Legislative Council. For the 88th General Assembly, Rep. Clemmer served on the House State Agencies and Governmental Affairs Committee, where she chaired the Elections Subcommittee. She also served on the Arkansas Legislative Council; Joint Performance Review; the House Education Committee; and the Academic Facilities Oversight Committee. Rep. Clemmer is on the teaching faculty of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. A native of Mississippi County, she graduated from Rivercrest High School, and she received her bachelor's and master's degrees from Arkansas State University. She was named an outstanding graduate in Political Science. Rep. Clemmer has been involved in many community organizations, including the Bryant and Benton Chambers of Commerce and the Arkansas Political Science Association. She previously served as president of the Arkansas Political Science Association. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and gardening. She and her husband, Jamie, have three daughters.
