Bio

Senator Bobby J. Pierce represents Senate District 27, which is comprised of Calhoun and Union Counties as well as portions of Cleveland, Grant, Jefferson and Ouachita Counties. Serving his first term in the Arkansas Senate, his committee memberships include- Senate Transportation, Technology & Legislative Affairs, Senate State Agencies & governmental Affairs, Senate Rules, Resolutions & Memorials, Joint Energy, Joint Budget Committee (JBC), Arkansas Legislative Council, JBC-Personnel and Academic Facilities Oversight Committee. In 2006, Pierce was elected to the Arkansas House of Representatives where he served three consecutive terms. He also served on the Sheridan School Board for 26 years. Born in Dermott, Senator Pierce is a utility contractor and hardware store owner. The former national guardsman is married to Joan. They have three sons and one daughter.
