Bio

I am a life-long resident of Warren County and take pride in my family's roots in the community. I followed the American Dream and started my own business 24 years ago, operating a dance studio. I am also licensed insurance agent and retain a Repairman Certificate issued by the Federal Aviation Administration to inspect and perform maintenance on hot air balloons at my family's business. In 2017, I helped spearhead a volunteer-lobbying effort to pass legislation that would support Iowans suffering from Lyme Disease. During this time, I organized volunteers and spoke at subcommittee meetings at the Capitol to get the bill passed and signed into law by Governor Branstad.

I am incredibly proud that in Iowa, average middle-class citizens can make a difference, Once elected, I will listen to the people I serve and make sure their voices are heard in Des Moines. I am committed to bringing common sense, honesty, and a strong work ethic back to state government for the people of Warren County.

Once elected, I will use my background in small business to work with others and accomplish my constituent's priorities.

As a small business owner, I understand the dedication and hard work it takes to get people together and get the job done, Iowa has one of the richest histories of family-owned and operated small businesses in America. Unfortunately, they are often overlooked and are faced with burdensome government regulations and high taxes. It's exactly these types of Main Street businesses that keep our small towns vibrant and help our communities thrive.

In the Statehouse, some of my top priorities I will be to focus on improving Iowa's mental health care, maintaining a top quality education system, make health care more affordable, and growing Iowa's economy.

I want to ensure that Iowa's future is bright for our next generations so I'll work with local partners to strengthen our schools and ensure Iowa's children have access to quality mental health services. I'll also work to grow our economy by ensuring Iowa employers have a skilled workforce and I'll protect the hard-working taxpayers of Iowa from higher taxes and wasteful government spending. I am committed to making sure that state government is accountable and transparent to the people of Iowa.

My husband, Adam and I, reside in Indianola with our three children, two daughters and one son. I volunteer in my children's schools, I am active member of my church, and previously served as Co-Chair of the Warren County Republican Central Committee.
