Biography - Elected to Nebraska Legislature- 2008. Born March 9, 1942, in Lincoln.

Education- Graduate of University of Nebraska-Lincoln (B.S., B.A.), 1964; University of Colorado (M.B.A.), 1969; University of Nebraska-Lincoln (Ph.D.), 1975. Family- Married Marilyn Bowen, June 1, 1974. Occupation- Professor emeritus, University of Nebraska at Kearney. Former- professor; higher education administrator; Kearney mayor.

Military service- U.S. Marine Corps Reserve (1960-66). Member- vice chair, Catholic Healthcare Audit Network; co-chair, Library Capitol Campaign. Former member- Kearney City Council; Good Samaritan Hospital Board; Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce; Buffalo County Economic Development Board.
