Education- Graduate of Sandy Creek High School, 1971; University of Nebraska-Lincoln (B.S. in animal science), 1976.

Family- Married Kathy J. Hinrichs, Aug. 5, 1977; three children- Kelsi Hewitt, Whitney and Chase.

Occupation- Farmer Former- Dairy farmer Member- president, Nebraska State Dairy Association; national delegate, Mid-America Dairymen; national resolution committee, Dairy Farmers of America; LEAD IX graduate, Nebraska Farm Bureau State Legislative Policy Committee; EMT, Glenvil Fire and Rescue; Hastings Evangelical Free Church.
