Bio

Delvis Dutton is a Christian, husband, father, family man, small business owner, farmer,

conservationist, and an avid outdoorsman. Having grown up in southeast Georgia, Delvis

understands the values that we hold near and dear to our hearts and is committed to representing

these unique conservative South Georgia values in Atlanta.

Delvis’ faith is the center point of his being. His relationship with Jesus Christ and God creates

the foundation for his approach to life and his decision making. It is this relationship that has

guided his enthusiasm towards being a public servant.

Delvis Dutton was born in Savannah and has lived in Glennville and in House District 166 most

of his life. He spent a short time in Atlanta before coming back to South Georgia where he

graduated from Pinewood Christian Academy in Bellville, Georgia.

After high school Delvis attended Georgia Southern University and worked for United Parcel

Service for seven years. Never afraid to take on a new challenge, at the age of 22, Delvis left

UPS to begin a journey to create a water-well drilling and service company named General

Pump and Well. For the past 10 years, General Pump and Well has drilled and serviced water

wells for more than 2,000 customers in southeast Georgia.

Being willing to serve comes naturally for Delvis. The Dutton family has a long history of public

service in Tattnall County. The Duttons have served the citizens of Tattnall County for more than

50 years including Delvis’ grandfather Mandell Dutton, who served as Chairman of the Tattnall

County Commission. In addition, his mother Brenda Kicklighter was a public servant for the

Department of Agriculture and Department of Corrections for many years in Atlanta.

In addition to owning and operating a small business, Delvis has been around farming his entire

life. Having grown up on a working family farm for over 20 years, Delvis has a thorough

understanding of the challenges facing farmers in the district. He developed hands on farming

experience including poultry and other livestock and cultivated crops such as soy beans, corn and

wheat. He is currently working on a project named Serendipity Energy, to create alternative fuel

sources for his company’s and farm equipment.

Delvis Dutton is uniquely qualified to serve as your state representative due to his experience

growing up on a working family farm, working for an international corporation, starting and

running a small business, his strong faith, commitment to his campunique conservative South

Georgia values.

Delvis is married to the former Danielle Harrell, a public school teacher from Reidsville, and

together they have two children. Delvis, Danielle and their family attend Trinity Baptist Church

in Nevils.
