BioRepublican State Representative Jodie Laubenberg is serving her fifth term in the Texas Legislature. She represents the Northern and Eastern areas of Collin County, and all of Rockwall County. As a member of the House Committee on Public Health and the House Committee on Human Services, Jodie stands firm for conservative principles and the unique needs of her district's growing communities. Rep. Laubenberg has taken an active role in securing Texas' future water resources. Rep. Laubenberg was appointed to serve on the Environmental Flows Advisory Group, which is charged with preserving Texas' rivers, bays, and estuaries, while meeting the needs of all water user types. In the most recent legislative session, Rep. Laubenberg authored and sponsored legislation that will ensure that Texas has accurate and standard water use data with which to pursue water planning. Rep. Laubenberg is a steadfast free market conservative. She bases her policy decisions on the belief that communities and private entities, rather than government, hold the key to Texas' prosperity. A graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, Jodie lives in Parker, where she previously served as a member of the city council. She and her husband Bob, have two children- David, a graduate of UT who resides in Plano, and Liz, a recent graduate of Mississippi College.
