Bio

Rhonda Taylor has extensive community involvement which spans more than 30+ years, volunteering for various organizations, garnering the reputation as a community advocate. She is an active member of a number of organizations including the Rockdale Chapter of the NAACP; National Women's History Project; former Rockdale County Democratic Party Board Member (currently the State Committee Chair); and the American Society of Travel Agent. She is a Board member for Rockdale Works! and is a former member of the Board of Directors for the League of Women Voters - Georgia.

A member of the National Council of Negro Women, Inc. for years, she is the founder and immediate past President of the Rockdale-Newton Section. She is a known public speaker; and she loves to read and research Women's history.

Rhonda is a resident of Conyers, Georgia and is a faithful member in leadership at Antioch A.M.E. Church where she chairs the Social Action Ministry and Women's History Month committees. She serves as the president of the Atlanta East District AME churches.

Her political experience includes that of Media Director, Strategist and Campaign Manager on both the local and state levels. Rhonda has worked for years in GOTV, administration and planning, learning the political structure from the ground up. She worked the Obama Campaign (OFA-GA) in 2007 and 2012, where she managed both volunteerism and GOTV and was elected as a Delegate for the 2012 Democratic National Convention representing the state of Georgia.

Rhonda holds a Bachelor of Arts in Pre Law; and Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and Political Strategy; and was recently bestowed with an honorary doctorate degree. She owns Monarch Consulting, LLC, a company that provides legal support services for local boutique law firms.

She has received numerous awards; among them, two "Excellence in Leadership" recognitions (Georgia Governor, Roy Barnes; Georgia Secretary of State, Cathy Cox); an "Outstanding Georgia Citizen's Award" in recognition of her advocacy in the passing of the Senate Bill 95 during the 2000/2001 legislative session, a Bill which made significant changes to the cosmetology industry in Georgia.
