Bio

Clint Dixon is proud to serve the people of Barrow and Gwinnett Counties in the State Senate. He was first elected in 2020. Sen. Dixon serves as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Education and Youth, Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Transportation, Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on MARTOC, and Secretary of the Senate Appropriations Committee. He also serves as a member of the Senate Committee on Banking and Financial Institutions, the Senate Appropriations Subcommittees on Education and Higher Education and Transportation, and as Ex Officio of the Senate Committee on Economic Development and Tourism. He previously served as an Administration Floor Leader for Governor Brian Kemp. In his time in the Senate, Clint has kept his promise to put our families first. He has fought hard to remove destructive politics from our schools, protect our students from radical curriculums and indoctrination in the classroom, prevent sex-change and gender-altering procedures from being performed on children, and continue efforts to eradicate human trafficking in Georgia. As the Atlanta crimewave rolled across our communities, Clint stood with law enforcement to keep our families safe by backing pay raises for law enforcement officers and championing aggressive efforts to crack down on gangs. Clint has also led to strengthen school security to keep our students and teachers safe. To protect taxpayers, Clint has voted to cut state income taxes and return billions of dollars back to taxpayers in the form of tax rebates and property tax credits. And Clint has been steadfast in his support for our Georgia values and ensuring our state remains a place of opportunity and where our freedoms are protected. Prior to being elected, Sen. Dixon served Gwinnett County on the Planning Commission where he worked alongside homeowners, businesses, and landowners to make zoning decisions. Additionally, he has served on the Water and Sewer Authority, where he promoted the Ivy Creek Overlay. Clint Dixon is no stranger to hard work. Like so many across our community, Clint is self-made in business and real estate. He got his start in the real estate industry in the early 2000s and has seen the ups and downs of good times and bad. He started his career in land acquisitions until the Great Recession hit. He then started Longleaf Realty that specialized in bank-owned properties. With a lot of hard work and sweat, he managed to survive. He then worked as the Real Estate, Construction, and site selection Manager for Hewatt Enterprises in Lawrenceville. Today, he works as an Acquisition Manager for Chafin Homes.

A proud family man, Sen. Dixon has been married to his wife Hayden for 20 years. Together they have three children, Hudson (16), Berkley (13) and Emsley (9).
