Bio

Eric is a fifth-generation Atlanta native raised in Clayton County and a graduate of Morehouse College and earned a master's in international business at Georgia State University; in his younger years, he attended Brown Elementary, Rivers Edge Elementary, Mundy's Mill Middle, and Mundy's Mill High Schools. He had shown a strong love for scholarship, stewardship, and leadership at all institutions. Bell graduated top 10 from Mundy's Mill High School, class of 2009. As a youth, he was a member of the Elite Scholars (now Elite Scholars Academy), Clayton County Youth Commissioners, Student Government Association, Presidential Scholar, National Honors Society, and Omicron Delta Epsilon (International Economics Honor Society).

Bell's call to service begins as a cadet in JROTC where he learned the value of citizenship, discipline, and service. The hunger to serve led to him receiving a scholarship from the United States Navy. As a Midshipman in Morehouse College's Navy ROTC he served as the Special Services Officer responsible for his unit's finances and keeping morale high. Apart from Naval duties, he graduated Cum Laude with a B.A. in Economics. Bell often gave tours of Morehouse, mentored youth, and worked as a teacher's assistant.

After college, Bell served his country as a United States Naval Aviation Officer where he took a sworn oath of service to the citizens of America. The training received from Bell's military service has taught him to testable commitment and leadership, as well as, pressurized strategic thinking. In 2015 after an honorable discharge, I organized multiple school supply drives, community clean-ups, toiletry drives, voter registration drives, and mentoring programs. Moreover, I have organized multiple voting and civil rights demonstrations across the Southeast, including Kentucky. I also serve on numerous non-profit boards, including the Clayton County Community Service Board and the Library Foundation Board, and was the founding president of the Young Democrats of Clayton County in 2018. Additionally, he has served on multiple non-profit boards of directors, such as- Clayton County Community Service, CTAE, Library Foundation, Walking in Authority, and Fly for the Culture.

Bell has worked with the Economic Development Department of South Africa and Fulton County to develop economic strategies with communal and human development emphasis. In particular, race and gender relations and the distribution of resources such as land. He also worked in the office of Senator Lester Jackson in the 2017 Georgia Legislative Session. Currently, he is the Government Affairs Coordinator at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. He works with local, state, and federal policymakers to ensure that the Atlanta Airport remains passenger-friendly and the most efficient airport globally.

For professional and leadership, he participated in programs offered by the Clayton, South Fulton, Atlanta, and Airport Chambers of Commerce, the Regional Leadership Institute sponsored by the Atlanta Regional Commission, and the New Leaders Council.

Outside of work, Eric is an activist, advocate, and creative that enjoys community organizing and event curation.
