Bio"From the time that I was 18 years old and signed my name to join the US Army, and throughout my 30 years of service to kids and families with the GA Department of Juvenile Justice, and of my 26 years of committed efforts with Georgia Republican Party, a single voice of purpose has driven me in seeking a better tomorrow for ourselves and the next generation- 'Because the Future Matters!'"
Chuck Payne served four years (1984-1988) in the United States Army and the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, NC. It was during this time that he met the love of his life, Angie Sellers, and they were married in January of 1988. Chuck and Angie returned to Georgia in 1988 and chose Dalton as their home. In that same year, Chuck began his 30-year career of service to troubled youth and their families with the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice. Chuck and Angie purchased their home and began a family. They have two wonderful children, Heather and Chaz Payne.
Chuck recently retired from the Department of Juvenile Justice with 30 years of service on Oct 31st of 2016. Chuck has always maintained his affinity for working with youth. In his 30 years with the Department of Juvenile Justice, he has helped countless kids, who found themselves on the wrong side of the law, and many give him credit for helping to turn their lives around. Chuck has volunteered to coach little league sports of both boys and girls - having coached basketball, softball, baseball, and football over the course of many years.
