BioA fourth-generation Texan, Jason was born in Dallas at Methodist Hospital. His parents taught him the value of hard work, integrity, academic achievement and personal responsibility. The first in his family to graduate from college, Jason worked his way through Baylor University where he studied economics and finance. He graduated in 1992 with a Bachelor of Business Administration. He then attended the University of Texas School of Law, receiving his Juris Doctor in 1996. Prior to becoming a practicing business attorney, Jason worked as a financial analyst. His practice focuses on the areas of public and private securities law, mergers and acquisitions and general corporate law. He is now a partner at one of the most respected law firms in Dallas, Haynes and Boone. Jason is married to Brooke Villalba, and they are the proud parents of daughters Sophia and Elena. In addition to his role as a loving father and husband, Jason has been committed to serving in his local community for more than a decade. He currently serves on the development committee of the Dallas Zoo and is an active member of the Dallas Childrens Trust. Jason has served on the Board of the Dallas Housing Finance Corporation and as a member of the Dallas County Citizens Election Advisory Committee. Jason has been politically active for many years. He is the immediate past Vice-Chair of the Dallas County Republican Party and the current Chairman of the Dallas Chapter of the Republican National Hispanic Assembly. On January 8th, 2013, Jason took the oath of office to serve as the Texas State Representative for House District 114.
