As State Representative, John is the Chairman of the Vehicle Safety Committee. He also serves on the Aging, Labor, Transportation (Roads and Bridges), and Elections and Campaign Reform Committees, the last of which he serves as Vice-Chairperson. These assignments reflect issues important to the residents of the 15th District.

A lifelong resident of the 15th District, John was born in Chicago where he graduated from Weber High School and attended Northeastern Illinois University . He currently resides in Chicago’s Edgebrook Community with his wife Christine and their three children, Jennifer, Michelle and Johnny.

John has been very active in the district. He is a member of the Journey Plumber’s Union , Local #130, City Club of Chicago, Mayfair Athletic Club, Mayfair Lions Club, St. Edward’s Athletic Advisory Board, Edgebrook Community Organization, Edgebrook Sauganash Athletic Association and serves as a Coach for Youth Baseball, Football, and Girls Softball.
