Bio

A graduate of Butler University and homeowner in Garfield Park, State Representative Justin Moed was first elected to the Indiana House of Representatives on Nov. 6, 2012, with a goal of putting people and solutions first. Justin started out as a Doorkeeper at the Statehouse and worked his way up to become a senior policy analyst, where he helped champion proposals to strengthen the middle class. While at the Statehouse, he gained a strong understanding of how the Legislature works—and, at times—doesn’t work. With a background that includes six years of experience at the legislature, Justin knows something about the problems and possibilities of state government. He will work to make sure the system works on behalf of the residents of Indiana House District 97. Attracting new businesses to our area and helping small businesses grow, tackling the abandoned housing crisis, fighting crime, improving and upgrading infrastructure and mass transit, and supporting our local schools are among his top priorities at the legislature. Justin knows we need more folks at the Statehouse who worry about getting things done and less about getting credit.
