Born Minneapolis, MN, August 31, 1951; married; 3 children. Graduate St. John’s Preperatory (Collegeville, MN) 1969; B.S. accounting, UW-Superior 1973; attended UW-Madison 1971, UW Center-Barron Co. 1969-71. Full-time legislator. Owner of home center. Former owner of school bus company and accountant. Member- Shell Lake Lions Club; Elks Lodge 1441; Knights of Columbus Council 2137. Former member- Boys and Girls Club of Rice Lake Bd. (founding mbr.); Wis. School Bus Assn. Bd. (1982-2006, pres. 1991-93); Rice Lake Jaycees; Apple Valley Jaycees (state dir.); Eagan, Minn. Jaycees (pres.); Phi Beta Lambda.
