BioBorn November 10th in Hartwell, Georgia, Representative Alan Powell graduated from HartCounty High School. He later attended Georgia Southwestern College, where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Political Science. The self-employed legislator was first elected to the Georgia House of Representatives in 1990. Prior to his membership in the Georgia General Assembly, he was Chairman of the Hart County Board of Commissioners. Presently, his legislative duties include service as a member of the Appropriations, Governmental Affairs and Vice Chairman of the Motor Vehicles, Regulated Industries, and Small Business Development and Job Creation Committees. He is the representative for House District 32.
