BioSenator Jeff Mullis, in only his seventh two-year term as state senator representing the 53rd district, is proving to be one of Georgia¡¦s most important political leaders. Senator Mullis is currently the Chairman of the Senate Rules Committee, Chairman of the Economic Development Subcommittee of Senate Appropriations, and a member of the Banking and Financial Institutions, Economic Development and Appropriations Committees.Senator Mullis also chairs the Senate Music Committee and The Halls of Fame Joint Committee. Lastly, he is the Chairman Emeritus of the Sportsman Caucus, whose mission is to promote and protect hunting, fishing and the 2nd Amendment. Senator Mullis was first elected to the Georgia State Senate in 2000. He was born and raised in Chickamauga, Georgia and currently serves as an Economic Developer in Northwest Georgia. He is married to Teresa Nichols of Dade County and has three children. He is also a member of the Chickamauga First Baptist Church.
