BioThis is Rep. Baine's first term to serve in the Arkansas House. He represents District 7 which includes portions of Union, Ouachita, and Calhoun County. For the 89th General Assembly, Rep. Baine will serve on the Judiciary Committee and the committee for Aging, Children and Youth, Military and Legislative Affairs.Rep. Baine was born and raised in El Dorado. He married his wife Jennifer in 2004. He was elected to six consecutive terms from 2001 to 2012 to the Union County Quorum Court to serve as Justice of the Peace. He opened his first business, JABWeb in 1999 and sold it in 2003. Today he works as an accountant for Murphy Oil Corporation and also works with his father and wife in their family owned timberland business. He graduated from Arkansas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and later with a Master's in Public Administration. He earned a Master's in Professional Accountancy from Louisiana Tech University. Rep. Baine has long been involved in Jaycees. He was the recipient of the Dennis Hamilton Memorial Award as an Outstanding State Vice-President of the Year by the United States Junior Chamber in 2007. He was the recipient of the Charles E. Kulp, Jr. Memorial Award as an Outstanding Local President of the Year by the United States Junior Chamber for 2006.
