BioRep. Orr is very interested in the concerns of his constituents and if you have any thing would like to bring to his attention, please feel free to email the office at District58.Orr@house.state.tx.us. About Me - Rep. Rob Orr is humbled to represent the citizens of Johnson and Bosque Counties (District 58) in the Texas House of Representatives. He notes that the position of State Representative is one of the most challenging and exciting jobs of his professional career. He is proud of the work he is doing on behalf of the State of Texas. During the 81st Legislative Session, Rep. Orr serves on the following House Committees- Business and Industry, Land and Resource Management and Local and Consent Calendars. In addition, Rep. Orr serves on the Steering Committee of the House Research Organization, Republican Caucus Policy Committee, and the Texas Conservative Coalition Research Institute. He also serves on The Energy Council, a national/international legislative organization that focuses on policies regarding energy and the environment. Throughout his legislative career, Rep. Orr has been recognized by the Texas Association of Business with its Fighter for Free Enterprise Award for his pro-business and pro-Texas voting record, by the Heritage Alliance with its Conservative Leader Award, by the Texas Association of Local Housing Finance Agencies with its Hero of Affordable Housing Award and by the Texas Association of Realtors for his support of property rights. Active in his community and professional association, he has served as chairman of the Burleson Area Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the Johnson County Economic Development Commission and the Burleson Convention and Visitor's Bureau. A Realtor, Rep. Orr served as president of the Greater Fort Worth Association of Realtors and on the Boards of Directors for the Texas and National Associations of Realtors. His commitment to faith and community is unchallenged. He has served two terms as an Elder at St. Matthew Cumberland Presbyterian Church, taught Sunday School and participated on numerous committees. He understands that to whom much is given, much is required. An avid baseball fan, he coached his son's Little League baseball team for several years. Rep. Orr is the Broker/Owner of Orr & Associates Real Estate in Burleson. He and his wife, Pam, who is also a Realtor, have five children and five grandchildren. Both Rep. Orr and his wife are committed to seeing all children experience the same opportunities and quality of life they have enjoyed.
