BioJeff Leach was proudly sworn into office as State Representative for House District 67, consisting of portions of Plan, Allen, Richardson and Dallas in Collin County, on January 8, 2013. Born and raised in Plano, Representative Leach graduated from Plano Senior High before attending Baylor University, where he served as Student Body President for two consecutive terms. During his time at Baylor he served President Bush in the White House Office of Political Affairs and the Republican National Committee. He went on to earn his law degree from Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law and currently practices at the law firm of Looper, Reed & McGraw, P.C., specializing in general and civil commercial litigation, real estate and construction law.Representative Leach is an avid proponent of tort reform, formerly serving as a statewide spokesman for Texans for Lawsuit Reform, for which he traveled the state to educate business groups on the positive economic impact of Tort Reform in Texas. A fiscal conservative, he believes in limiting the role of government and lowering taxes to keep Texas’s business climate strong and healthy by strictly adhering to free market principles. Representative Leach is a passionate supporter and defender of life, believing that life begins at conception, that every life is created for a purpose, and that it is our duty in Texas to not just protect life, but to actively promote a culture of life. Representative Leach and his wife Becky live in Plano and are proud parents of Brady (age 4) and Charlotte (age 2). They are active members of Prestonwood Baptist Church, serving for several years in the Young Families Ministry.
