Representative Elect Tonya Anderson is entering her 8th year of elected public service and her

22nd year as a member of the US Air Force Reserves. Tonya served the City of Lithonia as a

member of the City Council and then Mayor. In 2012 she was elected to serve as State

Representative for District 92, which covers the western portions of DeKalb County and the

eastern portions Rockdale County. She is board member of the Beverly Cunningham Outreach

Center for Domestic Violence, served as a board member of the DeKalb County Board of Health

‘Streetscape project’ a federally funded project that provided $1.2 million in new sidewalks,

new street lights, landscaping and resurfaced thoroughfares for the growing city. The City also

finished constructing a housing complex for hundreds of residents. One of her proudest

accomplishments as Mayor was to bring the City into compliance with EPA standards.
