Member- Democratic Party; AARP; Sierra Club; Clean Wisconsin; Wis. Wildlife Federation; YMCA; Spring Harbor Middle School PTO; National Association of Counties Green Government Advisory Com.; Madison Nordic Ski Club (fmr. pres.). Former member- Stephens Elementary PTO (co-pres.). Recipient- FEMA Outstanding Public Service Award; ARC of Dane Co. Elected Official Award; Men’s Fitness Magazine Clean Water Champion.
