Bio

From 1998 to 2001 Micah served as the District Field Director for Republican Congressman Bob

Barr, managing the campaign’s Grassroots Program. In 2002, Micah joined the Gubernatorial

Campaign for Sonny Perdue before going on to serve as a Special Assistant in Governor

Perdue’s Administration. While in the Perdue Administration, he served as the staff coordinator

for Governor Perdue’s “Saturdays with Sonny” initiative, as well as the Public Safety

Coordinator for the Governor’s Office suites in the Capitol; he also led the initiative to

reorganize the Georgia Film & Music Advisory Board.

In 2004, Governor Perdue appointed Micah to the redeveloped Georgia Film, Music and

Entertainment Advisory Board. Micah also served as the liaison for Governor Perdue on the

Michael C. Carlos Museum’s initiative to return the mummy of “Ramses the Great” home to

Egypt, and was recognized by the Egyptian Parliament as a friend to Egypt in 2004.

After leaving the Perdue Administration in 2005, Micah focused on the development of

grassroots programs for Local, State and Federal Campaigns in Georgia. In 2008 Micah was

elected as the Vice Chairman of the Paulding County GOP. Micah also served as the Paulding

County Chairman for both the Mike Huckabee and McCain -Palin Presidential Campaigns in

2008, in addition to serving as the local Chairman for the Senator Saxby Chambliss’ Campaign.

In 2008, Micah was named “Volunteer of the Year” by the Paulding County GOP and was also

awarded the 2008 “Rising Star Chairman’s Award” at the 11th Congressional GOP District

Convention.

In 2009, Micah founded Public Safety Appreciation Day in Paulding County and has led the

planning efforts every year since its inception. This event is one of the largest Public Safety

events in Georgia. In 2010, Micah formed Paulding Public Safety Appreciation, Inc.; a nonprofit

organization with an annual countywide festival/fundraiser honoring the men and women

of Public Safety in Paulding County.

In 2011, Micah completed and graduated from the Hiram Police Department’s Citizen’s Police

Academy and continues to be an advocate for the Public Safety Personnel in his community.

Micah is a dedicated man of faith and has participated in Foreign Missions around the world. His

international travel has lead him to Africa, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and South America

to include Albania, Austria, Ecuador, Egypt, Germany, Israel, the Netherlands, and Switzerland

on various humanitarian aid projects and study.

Micah is a 1997 graduate of Emmanuel College where he received a Bachelors of Science in

Interdisciplinary Studies with concentrations in Business, History and Biblical Studies.

Micah resides in Douglasville with his devoted wife Heather, their three beautiful daughters

Hope Elizabeth, Bella Faith, and Abigail Jane, with dogs Reagan and Leah. He is a frequent

speaker at area Republican and Tea Party meetings and is passionately devoted to advancing

conservative values to move the local community, the state and the nation in the right direction.
