Representative Terry England (R-Auburn) has spent his twelve years in the Georgia House of Representatives serving the citizens of Barrow County, and House District 116. Taking the principles and experiences learned from his life as a farmer and small-businessman, Terry England has worked tirelessly in the Georgia General Assembly to make, and keep, our state the best place in the nation to do business.

As chairman of the House Appropriations Committee since 2011, Representative England has earned a reputation for working closely with Governor Nathan Deal and leaders in the Georgia Senate and House of Representatives to apply the conservative principles they were elected on while maintaining a clear vision for Georgia's future. His tenure on the Appropriations Committee has focused on cutting government waste, streamlining services, and reforming Georgia's tax code. Chairman England has also prioritized Georgia's growing revenue towards an additional $1 billion spent on K-12 education, dependable infrastructure investment, and a commitment to bring jobs to all Georgians. As co-chairman of The Rural Hospital Stabilization Committee, Representative England has worked to find a sustainable solution to meet the healthcare needs of rural hospitals across the state. He now is serving on the House Rural Development Council that is studying ways to boost our state's rural communities.

Terry and his wife, Cindy, are lifelong Georgians who still live on the farm that has been in the family since Terry's great-great grandfather came home after the War Between the States. After attending the University of Georgia, Terry has spent his entire working life as a farmer and agribusinessman. Today, Terry provides consulting services for construction and agribusiness industries as president/CEO of Pete's Enterprises, Inc.

Before his election to the Georgia General Assembly, Representative England served as Chairman of the Barrow County Chamber of Commerce where he was later named Citizen of the Year. In 2015, the Barrow County Campus of Lanier Tech named their lecture hall after Representative England in honor of his commitment to the institution and the community.

Terry and Cindy are active citizens within the community and their church. As members of the First Baptist Church of Auburn, Cindy is the assistant church CFO and Terry serves as a deacon.
