She is Assistant Deputy Whip for the House Minority Caucus, and Chair of the South Fulton House Delegation. She also serves on the Entertainment Committee of the Georgia Legislative Black Caucus.

Representative Bazemore is a native of Liberty, New York where she served as the Founder and President of Concerned Parents, advocating for students at the state level. Her efforts earned her the prestigious Frederick Douglass Award for Community Service. She moved to unincorporated Fulton County, now the City of South Fulton, in 2005. Serving as President of Old National Area Residents United (ONARU), she was instrumental in combating blight in the community and labored alongside county leadership to have uninhabitable properties condemned and demolished. As Vice Chair and Chair of South Fulton United, she was a dedicated advocate and supporter of giving South Fulton residents the right to vote to incorporate. Along with Representatives Roger Bruce, Virgil Fludd, Ronnie Mabra and LaDawn Blackett-Jones, she facilitated and participated in over 100 presentations to educate citizens on the benefits of cityhood.

Representative Bazemore began her work at the state level as the Chief of Staff to a State Senator, working under the Gold Dome and traveling to counties statewide to listen to citizens' concerns, address statewide issues and develop invaluable partnerships. Since being elected, she has sponsored and championed legislation to ensure the safety of Georgia citizens in their homes and communities, bring awareness to critical health issues among school-aged children and put an end to predatory practices targeting Georgia citizens on the path to homeownership. She has served on the Fulton County 2035 Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee. In 2018, she launched her first annual career and health fair at Skyview High School to bring much-needed resources to the local community. She also created Small Business Owners Day and Law Enforcement/ Firefighters Day at the Capitol.

Prior to her tenure as an elected official, Representative Bazemore worked as a conflict resolution coordinator. She received her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Strayer University and has also completed training through the University of Georgia's Legislative Leadership Institute, University of Virginia Darden School of Business and Iowa State University's Urban Ag Academy. She is also a member of the Women in Government Class of 2019, a distinction reserved for one legislator per state, and a recipient of the 2018 Lois M. DeBerry Scholarship from the State Legislative Leaders Foundation.

Representative Bazemore is the mother of one son and two daughters. She is a State Committee Member of the Democratic Party, and a member of the NAACP and New Birth Missionary Baptist Church.
