BioA lifelong resident of South Bend, State Representative David L. Niezgodski is half-owner of a 3rd-generation plumbing business that was established in 1922.State Rep. Niezgodski has also been active in local public service, having served on the Portage Township Advisory Board, the St. Joseph County Council, the St. Joseph County Board of Commissioners and as a member of the NICTD (South Shore) Board and as Chairman of that board from 2001 to 2006. David currently serves as Chairman of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 172, Health, Welfare and Pension Board of Trustees, as a Management Trustee. He also is an Executive Board member of the St. Joe Valley, Plumbing, Heating, Cooling Contractors (PHCC) and the Indiana PHCC. David has participated in many civic activities, including the Rotary Club of South Bend, the Achievement Forum, and the Rebuilding Together Program. He also is a member of the West Side Democratic Club as well as the Clay Township Democratic Club. David is married to his wife Sheila and has two children, Rachael and Grant. ..
