Bio

Representative Gambill represents House District 15, which encompasses Cartersville, Emerson and Allatoona, along with portions of unincorporated Bartow County.

Matthew Gambill is a life-long resident of Bartow County and comes from a family with a long record of service to his community. He is a graduate of Cartersville High School and holds a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science from Lee University.

Matthew currently serves as the director of business development for ShawHankins. In this role, Gambill is responsible for sales team leadership, driving revenue, maintaining and growing business relationships and is a key part of the implementation of new business plans and the penetration of new markets. ShawHankins is a market leader in public entity benefits for city and county governments, school systems and for private industry.

Prior to joining ShawHankins, he spent over 14 years building relationships in the public and private sector while serving as executive director for the Georgia Association for Career & Technical Education (GACTE). During his tenure, GACTE tripled its membership and saw annual revenues exceed $1 million. GACTE is currently the second largest Association for Career & Technical Education state chapter in the United States.

Matthew worked as an intern for the House Higher Education and Education committees. It was during this time that Matthew met his wife, Danae, a former State Representative from Columbus.

Active in his community, Matthew is a member of the Cartersville-Bartow County Chamber of Commerce, serves on the Board of Directors of the Indian Springs Holiness Camp Meeting, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Bartow County and is the past chair of the Boys and Girls Clubs Georgia Area Council and Murphy-Harpst Children's Home.
