BioClarice Navarro-Ratzlaff was born and raised in Southeastern Colorado. She attended Las Animas High School, Otero Junior college and received her bachelor’s degree in Business Management. Working at a young age in her Grandma’s restaurant, Rep. Navarro credits her mother and family for teaching her the value of hard work. She served her community as an educator for the Colorado Department of Corrections and Las Animas High School, and worked for the Rural Development Division of the United States Department of Agriculture and the U.S. House of Representatives.Apart from her professional career, Rep. Navarro-Ratzlaff has filled the role as a community leader in various capacities. She served on the Las Animas City Council, Kountry Kids Advisory Board of Directors and was appointed by Chief Justice Mullarkey to the 16th Judicial Review Committee. Rep. Navarro-Ratzlaff worked on the campaigns of State Senator Ken Kester, Secretary of State Donetta Davidson, Congressman Bob Schaffer, Congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave and Congressman Scott Tipton, among others. She believes in strong leadership and universal values like honesty, personal accountability, integrity, hard work and sincerity. She prides herself on her commitment to creating jobs, growing the economy and protecting private property rights.
